Know what is in the product before you buy it

Collectors open products without a clear picture of what is in them. Most of the guidance available is breaks and forum threads, and it converges on the same handful of cards: the one of ones, the marquee rookie autographs, the cards that get talked about precisely because almost nobody pulls them. Chasing that list is how people end up disappointed by a hobby they went into excited.

Worse, the card being chased may not be in the box that was bought at all. Plenty of parallels and inserts exist only in hobby boxes or in the cases breakers open, and will never turn up in a retail blaster however many go through the till. That is exactly why manufacturers publish odds per box type, and it is why we hold them that way rather than flattening them into one number. Be informed before you buy, not after.

The information that would actually help already exists, it is just scattered. Every manufacturer publishes its checklists and odds in its own way and its own place, none of it connected to what the cards are actually going for. Finding the answer for a single card means holding three sources at once and knowing exactly how to search for it.
